Katie began dancing at the tender age of 3 joining Ballet and Tap classes. She soon joined Freestyle and Street classes and expanded her repertoire. After completing her IDTA Grade 5 in Ballet with Distinction, Katie turned her head to Freestyle Dance completing 17 examinations with the IDTA! In 2014, Katie was awarded 96% by Dawn Parker - the ex-Head of the IDTA - and was nominated for a Freestyle Dance Scholarship.

 

During her amateur career, Katie was given many opportunities to perform at some of the country's most prestigious theatres including The Royal Albert Hall, Sadler's Wells Theatre and The Birmingham Hippodrome. Katie cannot wait to give this opportunity to her students.

 

Katie gained her IDTA Freestyle Associate with Distinction and is a CDMT Recognised Teacher meaning she goes above and beyond to ensure her students learn in a safe environment! Katie is also an Affiliate with the ABD (Associated Board of Dance) and has recently qualified in Ballet with the IDTA.
